Senior Voice Recital

I was pleased to present the senior voice recital of two of my high school students on June 1, 2o12. When students are dedicated to their study of voice and to performance, it is a wonderful and contagious thing to see how their enjoyment of music spreads into the community. These two young women shared special music connections with their fathers. One was accompanied on piano by her dad, and the other performed a vocal duet with hers. They shared a recital including the following pieces, and there were about 100 people there – friends, siblings, parents and grandparents – to cheer them on. They sang beautifully and shared the deep emotion of their pieces with the audience. I wish them both well as they head to college and continue to develop musically and personally throughout their lives!
